Ms. Zalogina’s first paintings were primarily decorative, but some early works mirrored themes central to her poetry, especially the human realationship with the universe (both the physical/social universe and the metaphysical)., e.g., the Trickster/Joker figure.

While the “Metaphysical Archaeology” series may seem to be the culmination of Ms. Zalogina’s artistic and spiritual vision, there is more to come…
